We at Underscore Cabaret believe in the power of collaborative storytelling. Each of our productions works towards that powerful goal, with talented young performers interpreting and sharing in themes to which we can all relate. No two productions are alike, and we look forward to every new story we get to tell.
Underscore Cabaret is all of our favorite parts of the newcomer ensemble cabaret format, and none of the bits we bemoan. We pride ourselves on our creativity and accessibility, and we can guarantee that you'll have a rollicking good time every time, no matter what side of the stage lights you're on.

Our Team
SARA LYONS (Executive Producer/Director/Host) is a young theatre artist and dramatist with a passion for history and storytelling. She uses her skills in acting, directing, dramaturgy, playwriting and producing to bring our past to life. She has previously worked as a stage manager, host, performer, and assistant director with the Cranky Cabaret in NYC, as well as with On the Map Cabaret, Construct/Catalyst's C3 Cabaret, and the Campy Cabaret.

ANNABELLE MAY (Associate Producer) is a writer, editor, and semi-retired theater kid. She is also Underscore's casting director and assistant director, lending her expert eye and ear to crafting each show. By day, she teaches English at Success Academy in Queens, NY, sharing the magic of storytelling with her students.
